About Mark Henwick

I was born in Africa and left out in the sun too often. An early interest in philosophy and psychology was adequately exorcised by tending bars. And while trying to enroll in a class to read Science Fiction full time, I ended up taking an engineering degree which splendidly qualified me to move into marketing. That in turn spawned a late onset career in creative writing. When not working, I get high by the slightly less conventional means of a small light aircraft. My first books are available on Amazon at https://www.amazon.com/Mark-Henwick/e/B008SBO5YK/

if the message capsule that went out before them helped cause the recent drama…. then some terrans need the @$#$ slapped out of them, and whatever else she can get away with. maybe a couple executions …. one can dream 🙂

lets kick some home world butt and take back what’s hers

Quick follow up to a comment a couple weeks ago. At the time I was a little frustrated with Zara, and her decision to leave so abruptly. After more time to think it over, and more background I’m coming around. Letting the Terrans clean up Newyan at the end of book 1 made sense. Double whammy of the Terrans burying their heads in the sand, and discovering a living cousin seems like it would shake Zara enough to feel like she had to sacrifice herself to bring down Hajnal. Still think she owed Rhos and Alexis a better goodbye, but I’ll get over it. The rest of the story is too good. We’ve definitely reached the “It’s 2 AM, but just one more chapter” stage.

Thanks Zack, means a lot. I’ll have a think about touching on a better farewell or more obvious anguish on Zara’s part – without giving the game away i.e. in the story and to the reader.
