Zara – A Name Among The Stars – SciFi Adv/Rom – Episode 17

And BOOM… is the sound of chickens coming home to roost for Zara.

This week’s episode is here. I’m still not as far advanced as I want to be! Nevertheless, dig in and tell me your thoughts.

I have had to remove the episodes I posted here to fall into line with Amazon’s policies on Kindle Unlimited books.

The full novel is available on Amazon:

When I post stories on my blog, they will remain for at least a month after completion.

About Mark Henwick

I was born in Africa and left out in the sun too often. An early interest in philosophy and psychology was adequately exorcised by tending bars. And while trying to enroll in a class to read Science Fiction full time, I ended up taking an engineering degree which splendidly qualified me to move into marketing. That in turn spawned a late onset career in creative writing. When not working, I get high by the slightly less conventional means of a small light aircraft. My first book, 'Sleight of Hand' is available on Amazon at

Ooooh, the plot begins to percolate faster! It will be interesting to see what the Duke has to say — and do — about the extradition demand. Of course, I really think she should have fessed up to him right after the warehouse fracas.

As usual, I liked this week’s edition a lot.

    • Mark Henwick says :

Yes, it would have made sense to reveal all at that point. However… important point here which we will return to, the Duke has been away from the estate. Everyone’s access to him is limited.

    Very interesting…and still too short…

Oh, my. Another cliff hanger. You’re a bad man Mr. Henwick. 🙂

Superb as always, leaves me wanting more as always.

17 episodes, about one a week. It is a sure sign that a series is good when one is surprised to realize that they have been reading it for over 4 months without noticing the time, other than waiting for the next episode.

    • Mark Henwick says :

      Thanks Shannon. 🙂

I keep thinking I should be ahead at this point – that this should be where the story is reaching the end. Perhaps a full novel is a little too much in today’s society to be released at a rate of a couple of chapters a week. I’ll review in a post – average reader figures and so on, after the conclusion. I’ll compare with Change of Regime as well, which happened almost by accident.

I love you I hate you!!! Totally invested in this book Mark. Really fun, well written and a great mix of kick ass and insecurity. Write faster!!!

      Mwah ha ha ha. I don’t know, maybe I should write … s l o w e r.

      He he he.

I am trying to lift it from a couple of chapters a week. Since I am writing this at the same time as Bian’s Tale 1, I may have to slow down on that to do this if you follow.
